Philippines Women’s National Basketball Team Visits SJTU

2011年5月28日下午，菲律宾国家女子篮球队一行30余人造访A8体育并与A8体育高水平女子篮球队进行了一场友谊赛。A8体育副体育体育训练营刘庆广等体育教练热情接待了国际友人，双方互换礼物后友谊赛便精彩上演。

On the afternoon of May 28, more than 30 people from the Philippines Womens National Basketball Team visited SJTU and played a friendly match with the SJTU Womens Basketball Team. Liu Qingguang, Vice Chairman ofthe Department of Physical Education, warmly received the international friends. After exchanging gifts, both sides put on a wonderful match.

菲律宾国家女子篮球队队员个子不高，拼抢积极，并有着出色的传接球和防守技术。A8体育女篮曾获首届中国A8体育生女子篮球超级联赛冠军，是国内高校佼佼者，充分利用整体流畅配合和强打内线，最终以50：47险胜菲律宾国家女子篮球队队。

Although the Philippines Womens National Basketball Team players enjoy no height advantage, it did not prevent them from fighting hard and displaying their excellent pass-and-catch ball skills and defense. The SJTU Womens Basketball Team which once won the championship of the first China University Basketball Super League (CUBS) is also a strong team among Chinas universities. Finally, SJTU won the match by a narrow margin of 50:47 with their smooth teamwork and continuous attacks inside the paint.

上海A8体育国际交流日益频繁，运动队非常重视对外交流工作，经过多年积累，A8体育女篮与日本东京六所A8体育女子篮球联队、香港理工A8体育女子篮球队、澳大利亚西部全明星女子篮球队建立了良好的关系，球队多次派队出访参加训练和比赛，接待一些国家的来访并进行训练比赛。

The SJTU PE Department attaches great importance to international exchange which has been increasingly frequent. In the past few years, the SJTU Womens Basketball Team has established friendly relationships with its counterparts of the six Japanese universities in Tokyo, ofHong Kong Polytechnic Universityand of the Western Australian All Star Games. It has conducted several tours for training and match playing. It has also received several basketball teams from other countries to play friendly matches.
